Most of the CBD products filling the shelves today are made from CBD “isolate.” That’s CBD that has been extracted all by itself, usually from the leftovers of industrial hemp production called "biomass." But the hemp plant is full of potentially beneficial compounds! We preserve these compounds in our products by only extracting from the finest CBD-rich hemp flowers.

Promising research shows that other non-psychoactive phytocannbinoids, like CBG, can work with our endocannabinoid system in unique and positive ways. And terpenes and flavonoids, the chemicals responsible for smell and taste, can act on our bodies like powerful essential oils.

Emerging research on the “entourage effect” strongly suggests that CBD works best when it works in combination with these other compounds, so why would you want to strip them out during extraction? Our products preserve these cannabinoids and terpenes, which is why all of our products come with a full cannabinoid and terpene breakdown from a certified third-party testing facility. We believe in transparency, and we want you to see exactly what you’re getting.

Most of the CBD products you see on the market today are also made from “biomass.” Biomass is what you get when you put a hemp plant into a woodchipper. And while it’s true that you can extract some CBD from the whole plant, the other beneficial compounds of hemp are concentrated in the flower. That’s why we extract our CBD from hemp flower only. Whole flower extraction is a much gentler process that preserves terpenes and flavonoids, and lets us keep all the plant’s components together and intact.
