WHAT’S UP WITH YOUR LOGO?

The hemp plant has been widely used to promote health and wellness by people across the globe for much of human history.

Unfortunately, fear surrounding potential abuse of hemp’s psychoactive sister-plant, marijuana, led to the total prohibition of both types of cannabis plant with the Marihuana Tax Act of 1937.

Our logo features an artist’s interpretation of a historical image of Samuel Caldwell, the first man to be arrested for cannabis in America, just one day after the Marihuana Tax Act went into effect.

Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp products are now legal and accessible across the United States. Our logo is a tribute to Samuel Caldwell, and the many activists and advocates who worked tirelessly for decades to make the plant we love legal and accessible for all to enjoy. Here’s to progress and the end of prohibition!
